Frost and Fire was written for Jeffrey McCray to perform with the composer, Brian Krinke, at the IDRS conference at Butler University in 2025, where it was premiered. This performance took place in King Center Recital Hall at MSU Denver on 10/27/2025. This sheet music will soon be pulished at www.trevcomusic.com Frost and Fire was inspired by the story of the same name by Ray Bradbury, and follows the main character, Sim, through his seemingly doomed life, as he stuggles to find meaning in life, love, and war, eventually seeking a spaceship to save humanity. Great thanks to Dr. McCray for his artistry, and his musical inspiration and enthusiasm as I created this piece, and others, for him to perform. He is performing here with the wonderful pianist Suyeon Kim, faculty at UC Boulder.
